Dear October
I don't know what to say about you. So I'll start with a thank you; you're like September, but instead of post-summer stress, you give me a subtle decompression. If that makes sense? October, you helped me realize my life centers on every moment, not highlights. You reminded me that October should be October. Nothing more, nothing less. It's a simple lesson, but one I hope to remember every month. October, you gave me excessive heat, out-of-the-blue chills, and wonderful memories with my loved ones. I hate to say goodbye; I'd rather say "see you again next year".
Yours truly,
Stace, have a Happy Halloween; you earned it
